I wanted to post a few shots from the wedding I am working on. This is amy and her father before the ceremony. I am always ready for this time, because its usually a very rich time for emotion. Especially when father and daughter are alone. These choked me up I almost felt like I was getting married again.
I am guessing I am not alone post your favorites right before the ceremony
Its on the pavement. Some poeple are going to think its distracting others are going to think its cool and a leading line to the subjects. I wished it wasnt there but just left them in because it was actually there.

I like it for the reason you mentioned but if you wanted to get rid of it, it would be super simple to clone that out.
This post is too funny! Oh - you must leave the arrow in. It's essential.
I have Matt stay back with the Bride when we shoot because there is so much emotion. I was at a venue a month ago and watching all these bridesmaids and guests running around the hotel lobby. I didn't see a photographer in sight. I guess both photographers set up right next to each other outdoors waiting for the processional - but I couldn't help but wonder what wonderful shots they were missing from those moments right before.
That second shot is amazing. The emotion and connection is so compelling and rich. I can see every time he read her bed time stories, every time they played catch in the yard, every time he waited up for her to come home after a date. And her leaning in to him acknowledges how much he did to get her to the point in her life when she is ready to go off on her own. I have a daughter and this shot is both beautiful and troubling - I am not really sure a dad is ever to really let go of his daughter. I am glad you captured the deep relationship between a dad and his little girl. They will treasure this shot forever.
OK sticking to the OT, I too like the moments before the ceremony. Nervous bride, father-daughter lovies, etc. Great captures above BTW, arrow or not. I like the sharpness and emotions captured.
