Nother' e-sesh
Shot her sister's wedding in 2008. Good people. Good times. The usual. Used the Lastolite Ezbox a bit on this one. Liking it. CC welcome. Off to play some COD, peeps.

Nice set. Only a couple nit picks, just my non-pro opinion so take it for what it's worth
#1 crop feels a little bit off, maybe just crop from the left to get the couple further from the center.
#8 not too "flashy" but maybe you can bring up the shadows a little bit if it doesn't bring out too much grain. There is cut off fingers on bottom of the frame.
BTW I see you're in metro detroit, I'm over on the east side.

4 & 9 are great Adam!
I say yes to your ? on #8.
I started using the same softbox a couple weeks ago due to the wind eating my umbrellas. I prefer the umbrellas actually but the portability of the softbox is a win.

Thanks, Aron. I find the light out of the soft box to be a little nicer, but it is sort of intangible. I just like that it has less spill. Portability helps, too.
Stillresonance, Royal Oak here, dude. I guess there are a few Detroit FMers still around?

Lots of good emotional connection with this set. #4 and 5 is my favorite. Yes, I think #8 is too "flashy". I think more ambient light would have improved that image.

I've been so slow to comment!
2, 4, 6, 9 are my faves!
1 is really nice - I'm not a huge fan of flashed at sunset photos (no matter who does them - including Ed's or Tony's). I still take these shots because people want them...
I love 2, but I might like it a bit more if it was exposed about 1 stop lower. Nice use of light and composition
3 has some really nice expressions - I have a hard time shooting with the sun - I usually don't like the results - I think maybe these could be warmed up a tad?
4 is a really sweet shot - no crits!
5 has cute expressions and interactions ,but I can't get over that tree!
6 I love their expressions and the light -even if it was flashed. Not my style, but you pulled it off really well
7 is a tad too flashy for my taste. With this shot I think you would be better off either snooting your flash and only lighting them up, or lighting everything up equally. I also think it would pop a tad more with a slight increase in warmth. Great concept! They will LOOOOVE it
8 I like the concept - it's a tad too flashy and I think you need to warm it up a tad. Maybe that's a thing with me... Awesome shot though - I wish I came up with these concepts!
9 is really nice. I need to use ambient light more often in my night shots I guess the way you can add this to your next set is to bring the couple a tiny way away from the wall, then get their shadows in focus. That may be a nice way to build on this shot!
10 - nice ring shot! Very cute!
