My first destination wedding. Very small, laid back couple. I had a very relaxed pace most of the time there. Maybe like 20 guests. The couple originally booked me for my hometown, bride got sick, cancelled, then rescheduled for the original date but at this resort. Limited getting ready shots. Groom not interested in them, bride had just a handful of 'em. No dancing, no DJ, just cake cutting and a lovely 5-star, 3 course meal and good convo with the guests.
Resort sat in a cloud all day, drizzly, misting, windy (!) and gray. Most shots were done inside. Not lacking for tons of spots to shoot though, this hotel is huge. 140 years old, they give you keys to the rooms; most have fireplaces for heat, and complete with the wavy wooden floors .

Yeah squirrel outfit FTW.
I'm a little embarrassed for the love for #10, I think it's a 'good' photo but not 'great'. I actually like 11 more ha!
Maybe I should post the vertical crop I did of #10.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement and kind words. This was wedding #35 for me counting 2nd shooter assignments. I have a pro's equivalent of 1 year done even though it took me 3

10 is amazing!
What makes 10 so awesome is it has a vintage feel which goes perfectly with the couple and their outfits. It's a shot I never would have thought of. I just gasped when I saw it. Very nice indeed.
11 is really cool, but there isn't quite enough separation to tell that it's two people - not your fault, it's just the one element that is missing.
Awesome shoot. Man, what an incredible venue! I love destination weddings.

Andrew, I find the set to sort of be quietly emotional. Love it. I would agree one of your best to date. What is the location?
This was in mineymole's backyard - I photographed the wedding in New Paltz- the blog link explains where. Definitely gives you that "old money" feel you sometimes get in certain parts of NYC. Check out the room rates.. yikes.
