The other night I was going through some old photographs for a present. Since what we do is so important in my opinion, I thought this would be fitting to remind us how valuable the photography we are doing is. Side benefit we get to know each other better.
The exercise is post two of your favorite photo and tell why they mean so much. You can be in it or have taken it no rules really.
Picture of me and Angie at Senior Prom. Polaroid station where they fake married us. A hint at the future getting married 7 years later.
This is of my daughter... I dunno why it's one of my favourites, it just is... I can't stand her mom, but love my little girl....
This is my wife... again, I know that I could do better, but this was our first "real" vacation together (assuming Niagara falls doesn't count if it's only 3 hours drive and she has family who we visited)
I'll never forget this trip... I knew I was going to marry her before we went on vacation, but it was such a great time. We've been lucky to be able to take our boys there every year so far... I wish my daughter could come with, but oh well. one day when she is old enough to really enjoy the beach...
I am a photographer and I have no personal photographs. We do have our disk of wedding photos that we hate, so I find it hard to consider those. Other than that I've got nothing and don't know that I ever will. Doesn't occur to me to have photos of my life.
This was from one of the first weddings we ever shot. It now hangs on our wall. I know it's ridiculous, but for some reason I am just in love with it...
One of my first ever shots taken when i was 17 on my Agfa 35mm. The tripod was as old as the camera, very flimsy so if it helped at all it was very little.

me neither.
The witness at our elopement took 3 underexposed b&w pictures of us on my holga. Other than that, very little exists. Sometimes I get victimized by party cams, but there's really nothing personal of us anywhere.
