Well, I just let my fantasy fairy fly me to the la-la land of Wishcomtruia.
There is a crack in my crystal ball after I went bowling with it last weekend but I can almost certainly guarantee that my fantasy is quite a few years from becoming reality.
I ain't holding the proverbial breath.
As for the technology - it is here already. It seems that for the moment the sensors for the M9 is the bottleneck with a high rejection rate and cramming in 25MP, adding live view and in body IS is not easily achieved. But I am sure it could be done.
Battery technology isn't moving along as fast but I am sure they could squeeze it in somehow.
And with those high ISO CMOS sensors in the M11 everyone will still talk about the great colour and tonality of the old kodak ccd in the M9 kinda like the old canon 10D hehe

It's nice to have customisation options, it's a tool but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be personalized. I agree the orange is out there but the green and silver looks good. I myself like a bit of deep blue or maroon dunno if I'll re-grip my m9 though, probably just half-case and strap.

That's Photoshopped Look, the cameras are standing *exactly* the same way. I guess Ulrik is having a Warhol day.
And they are not M9 cameras...
Whether it's been photoshopped is an interesting question. The straps appear to be in identical position, which strongly suggests it has been photoshopped. But the red lump on the side of the lens looks more orangy on the orange one, suggesting that it is picking up light reflected from the orange areas, and at the top of the lens front element there is an orange reflection of the reverse side of the strap. On the other hand, the reflection on the lens seems indistinct, and the metallic surface of the baseplate of the camera doesn't seem to be reflecting much orange, which we know is on the reverse of the strap. If it's photoshopped, it's a fairly thorough job, but maybe not quite clever enough. My money's on a photoshop job.

Where can I get one of those hoods!? They're on a 35 lux asph right?
It is probably a special edition. You can get it in black paint as screw mount (!), and some other weird finishes too. I don't know if this lens actually exists as depicted, although other photos do make it likely:
No, I would call the bidder stupid. That's not even in desperate territory - it is plain stupid.
I don't know what to say - either some people have more money than sense or the bidder actually believes the lenses are included.
I don't know why Leica doesn't auction new M cameras when they come out. I bet there are quite a few who would pay well over the RRP. At some point the average auction price would reach the secret RRP at which point Leica could then issue them to dealers at that price. They would maximise profit that way. Canon has a go at this by sliding the RRP after a few months, but Leica could really rake in the cash due to pent up demand and hysterical desire.

The winning bidder will also take a big bet. The seller has (0) feedback. Might be that $10k isn't that big of a deal for some (un)lucky folks.

That's what surprised me. The seller has no history. To me, being rich is no excuse for being stupid.
