p.1 #1 · Not Strobed, Looks Strobed Tutotial Stuff

Working on a few workshop things, one being how to get a strobe look without using strobes or any artificial light at all. Opinions on these shots? Can't spill the beans just yet, but I'm working on it! What do you think of these shots? I think if seems more 'strobey' on the colour, not the b/w.

Love them. Very much look "mildly" strobed.

Both definitely have a strobe-y look. It's the direction of the light in the B&W that give it that look. color just looks strobe-y in general.

Funny - I work so hard on making sure my shots don't have that look! But I'm pretty sure this workshop will go over very well.

#1 but I'd sale she's looking too pale

#2 doesn't have any strobe look to me.

#1 definitely looks like it's been lit because the background is underexposed compared to the couple...if that was done in post it looks pretty good to me. B&W just looks like natural light with a little corner burn...

#1 looks stobed cuz there's less ambient light than #2. That said I dig the look of #1.

I'll tell you how I would do it... may or may not be the same thing JClay would do.

The pale is definitely intentional, though not for the strobed look, just the style. No, not luminance or any slider, for that matter.. TY all for the feedback, hope to follow up sooner then later.

God, no! TRA actions = blehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. No offense to anyone else, I use actions in my PP all the time that I've made, just no tra stuff. I'm not comfortable putting it out there what is being done until I know for sure I've got it nailed, and they have a way to go still.
