Here are a few more images from the stunning sunset of October 10. They were taken at the West Pond of Jamaica Bay Wildlife Sanctuary here in New York City. All were taken looking north. You have already seen views looking west with the stunning orange and red sky. These pastels are a nice change of pace for a sunset.
Beautiful scenery Morris made more beautiful by the lovely sunset sky.
I really enjoyed your previous post with the silhouettes that worked so well against that awesome colorfully banded sky.
Unfortunately your #2 here is not working as well for me... I think it's just too much motion blur and the whole bird is too OOF.
Thanks for sharing these images and your techniques for capturing them... I am going to give it a try.

Thank you Kirk,
I want to see how people respond to #2. I’m aware that many people don’t enjoy extreme blur. I appreciate your letting me know how you feel. I look forward to your experiments.
Hi Morris, I do like 1, 2 is a little to much blur for me but I can see how one would like it. I do like 3 but maybe without the waterfowl. That is fine sunset you documented, it must have been amazing to witness.

Thank you Tim,
It was amazing out there though I was incredibly busy taking photos and the time pasted very quickly.
