I've seriously thought about it on a number of occassions (no kidding). Then I give my head a shake, and the feeling passes. It's sort of like when I think that maybe I should get a Bessa III.

What? 10K for a lens and no IS? Not even AF? I'm flabergasted.
Happy shooting,
Yakim.
Yeah but its black in color so it won't be a noticable as Say "A Big White."
Like Jim I thought about one for awhile, that had the Nikon mount and I last saw it listed as $13,000, but then I thought what would one do with this monster lens,
maybe some Happy shooting
Then again for that price one can get some sharper lens with AF, VR/IS,and have some spare change to buy a round of drinks.
Reading the listing description, the seller is claiming that only 35 were made (or 40 at the most). So I can see why its listed so high. Its also a multipurpose Cine/35mm lens.
I would love to see one of Arri/Zeiss's recent Master Primes converted like this.
Hehe this guy's shop is actually around the corner from where I work, they always have some nice classics, old Leicas etc. I might drop in today for a zoooooomar fix

Why not take it for a test drive take a few shots and report back to us.
Although fast, these lenses were pretty ho-hum optically. Modern Photo tested them back in the day, and they were pretty unimpressed, except for the speed. Definitely a collectors item.
