p.1 #1 · The Boathouse

A couple of shots taken in the Alfred Nicholas Gardens in Melbourne's Dandenongs. These were taken back in our autumn, around six months ago. The first is a crop from a wider pano whose composition didn't work, but I liked this bit. The second is a seven vertical shot pano I'm undecided about.
5D2, 24-105.

What a great location!
I like both but am most impressed by the second one. The colours are super and I like the leaves in the water. Almost like a mosaic.

Nice work on both of these , Wayne . I like the lead-in of the first , and the broad expanse of the second . In both cases , the subtle , refined palette imparts a feeling of peace and quiet with a touch of autumn melancholy .

Hello Wayne, very peaceful, and good use of the Fall colors. It would have been nice to have a less exposed set to blend in some sky detail

HI Wayne. both great shots....I'm surprised, you mean we don't have to travel to the USA north East for autumn shots?
cheers Andrew

Very cool shots, Wayne. I also really like the 2nd....great work with the color and pano, and the water reminds of a good ole southern bayou.

Definitely the second one for me - the wider context of the scene is much more appealing to me. I do agree with hugh in that it would be nice to have a little more of an exposure balance between the skies and the foreground but that's not easy to do with lighting like this.

Nice work - that is a really nice scene.

A belated thanks for the feedback.

Hugh and Alan, I normally don't do this kind of overexposure but in this instance decided to just let it go.

Hi Andrew, just imagine the money you'll save on airfares!

I like #1 even more, especially the tree is nice and is important for the composition.

Very cool shots.

The second stands out for me. It makes me feel like I'm there. Great work!
