The first time I saw this was a little after I had started shooting the sky with my fisheye. The problem with Chicago is that there's tons of smog and too many lights. I can't believe how many lights there are. There must be at least 4 times as many lights in Chicago than the current suburb I live in.

The guy who shot this must have been out in the desert to get such a good, clean shot of the milky way center. I'll have to travel out that way eventually.
