p.1 #1 · Inexpensive Underwater camera

I'm going on a cruse in a few weeks and want to get a decent point and shoot for a 40' dive and some snorkling. I would like the camera to be a decent general point and shoot after we get back as well and I dont want to spend more than $300. What would you recommend given these parameters?

How about the Olympus mju Tough 8000? Has anyone used both of these cameras? the user reviews are all over the place.
