I keep coming back to this one, but perhaps for different reasons than the others.
There is something about the lighting and the incredible alert intensity that makes this a powerful and compelling portrait. Great processing and capture, Marcelo.

Thanks Scott for taking your time to look at this picture and write such an encouraging comment.
I like everything about this.....except the flip page effect. I understand that it is a very important part of what the image is supposed to convey, just it takes away the attention from the weird, kind of eerie look of the baby.
The processing is flawless as usual Marcelo.

Thanks Lazlo, I understand and respect your point of view. I’m glad you like the processing.

Marcelo, I was so taken by the contrast of the old fashioned baby clothes and the dummy (pacifier) that I didn't notice any of the flip pages or other issues until they were raised - I think this is a great picture and now that I've analysed it a bit, think the flip effect detracts ever so slightly from it. But it's art - that's what counts.
Peter
While I was writing you added the original which has nowhere near the impact of the B&W - pretty baby though, is she yours?

Thanks Peter; I appreciate your comment.
This kind of baby clothes is very common in Europe and most of newborns wear them. The colour of dress or accessories (pacifier, ribbon…) usually indicates if the baby is a girl or a boy. Pink is for girls, blue for boys.
Neither my daughter, nor my son, it’s just a doll. I saw this mannequin in a shop window and it really looks very much like a human being
