So, Karl, how about me coming as a guest to your wedding. I bet it would be fun to participate and see one of these guys above at work.

I promise that I will only bring one body (mine) + one lens (the one from the phone camera), dress in vivid orange + green and ONLY AT MIDNIGHT transform myself into your beloved Uncle Bob who remembered that he lef in the car all his pro gear. At that point I will sneak under the pro's camera, shoot from over his shoulder, rise in front of his big white lens exactly at the cake cutting peak moment and do all my best to ruin his shots and get the good ones for myself. I also promise that I will give to you all my shots in full resolution (yes - that's a whopping 21mp) and undercut the pro you choose even more.

I will get a lot of fans among your other guests after this, and the pro would get laughed at about the (ridiculously high) prices he asks for the prints. You will be able to print as large as you want from my shots much cheaper.

How about that? I think it will be a great idea...

Why did this thread turn into a L2Speak italian thread?

I said it before, and I'll say it again. I'd LOVE to 2nd/3rd the prime on this. I'll even fly on my own dime. By then, I'll have more than sufficient gear...and I'll still have my passport.

I've shot a wedding in Italy, Italian bride, Italian Groom, Irish Photog. I dont have a word of Italian. Did'nt like the place. I went into so many restraunts asking for some food, and they would say chow, like as in "do you want some chow" i guess, and I would nod and say chow back, thinking I would get fed. Not a bloody crumb no matter how many times I shouted chow at them. Came home half a stone lighter.

I'd like to apply but I cannot type and wave my arms around at the same time :-(

Whoever goes - make it a few days earlier to be sure and be over the jet lag. Your in for a long long day, and a LOT of food!

A mix of Italian food and Belgian (chocolates) desserts :-)

Thanks again for all your PM's and replies here. I didn't expect so many reactions but I'm happy of course :-) Now I will spend my evenings (for the coming months) by sending mails and PM's

I'm sorry, but this is fail. You can't reference Star Wars (may the force be with you) and then show a Vulcan doing "live long and prosper." It should say, "Live Fawkes and prosper" or something ridiculous like that.
