p.1 #1 · fun for the night with one light

I had to get off my rear and play with my camera.
--probably because I slept for more than 8 hours last night
Taken in a hallway about 3 1/2' wide that intersects with another hallway -- this permitted me to have an angle with the light.

not much of a subject, just myself, late night, seeing what I could set up and do in under 5 minutes.

Howdy Steve,

This SP shows your eyes very nicely....they look "nice" and that carries a lot in a portrait.

Along with the subtle smile, it gives a good impression of a friendly fellow.

My Simple Suggestion: Consider cropping this and using it for your avatar.

Lack of sleep? I can empathize.

I agree with Steady that this is better than your avatar... no offense intended to your current avatar

It shows what you CAN do with an umbrella in confined space. The light bounces everywhere and it can get limiting but this doesn't look too flat and the focus is spot on (which isn't easy when you are by yourself).

Nice job.

Very nice, amazing what 8 hours sleep can do for creativity

I like the avatar picture more. The blue on blue with blue eyes reminds me of a generic character from a 1970s show.

Howdy and thanks

might try and re-shoot, the right shoulder is a little high when cropped for an Avatar ( yes I did look )

4 Nov was a busy day for me, and somehow I missed this post.

Steve - this is a wonderful portrait. Getting the eyes just right can be a challenge in a SP, but you nailed it. Well done.

Great background, nice composition and the expression - the into the camera look - is perfect.

Keep taking the time to do what you enjoy.
