On Pirate Girl, I like your choice of how much hair light (or hat light?) you used. alex108 Offline Upload & Sell: On p.1 #8 · Halloween 2009 I don't know what the reflective surface is but I would guess a more or less standard setup with key, fill and a hairlight with umbrellas. Fill light is probably at 1/4 or less or could be even on the same side as the key. You can also notice how light falls off on legs on 6 so it probably wasn't anything crazy big. Light with 20 degree grid opposite of oct. behind subject (f5.6). Beauty dish with grid to left of camera for a little fill light (f4 I think). giantdave Offline Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #17 · Halloween 2009 i like the shots of the first kid more. maybe a bit dark on the left side. kids got some cute dark eyes, and you kind of lose that one in the first couple shots. second kid i like too, but in pretty much all of them you totally lose the hat. it looks like it was made of black velvet of some type, so i guess you're pretty much screwed. but it just blends in so well, especially on camera right. but the octabox light looks great!
