Hello, I've been derelict in my B/w posts lately, but I have been deep in the rain forest shooting mosses and dark things. After trying some posts of these scenes, the consensus is that the place doesn't lend itself to mono. I did find an abandoned homestead in the Quinault rain forest that was in a clearing. A note from here rust and moss never sleep http://i.pbase.com/o4/99/15999/1/118910715.O8G6sTU4.abandonedfarm1upload.jpg
Tim,
Good scene well seen.
We've got to photograph every old and disused homestead and barn because sooner rather than later the morons will burn them all down.
I know you do it for a reason, but I just paid a lot of money for glasses so these old eyes could see things in focus.
Hey, I just removed my specs and the photograph looks a lot better .

Nice conversion and great photo. It might benefit from some careful edge sharpening. I'm not sure if the same applies where this was taken, but in the South where I live they say that old places like this with shingles are REALLY old. Most old places, even the very old ones, have tin roofs, not wooden shingles like this. They are very hard to find around here. How old is this place?
