Which Phottix do you have? I have a couple, one is the Cleon II which can accept different cables. I'll be making a submini to submini cable which I'm hoping will trigger the GF1 - will let you know.

You have any more info on this? Hopefully it's possible to bridge some if the connections to get it to work...?
All I know for sure is that the Panasonic releases use a 4-contact mini plug instead of the standard 3 contact one. I'm not sure of the pinout, I'll probably disassemble the first cheap panasonic remote I can find.

going to Penn camera now to see if there are any cable adaptors for it.
i think what i have is the 3pin one.. i used it for canon 5D
also does Pocket wizards able to trigger camera shutter? i have some and i use them for lights, but never tried camera trigger?
Yes, PW's can trigger cameras with the right cable.
The 5D uses a Canon-proprietary connector for its remote (N3 type), the standard minijack is used by the Rebels(E3 type) as well as Pentax and some others.
According the GF1 manual the correct remote shutter is the DMW-RSL1. This is the same as other DMC-L1 which is what the ebay shutter supports. So that Cactus trigger should work. I bought one
