Good luck Mel. I shot my last wedding three weeks before giving birth to an 8 1/2 lb baby boy and I thought I was going to die before the day was over. It didn't help that it happened to be the one day in September that it hit 98 and the wedding was outdoors in the middle of the day. Total misery. You'll be so amazed at how much easier it is to shoot without a big belly in the way when you're done. Remember being able to bend without pain and being able to get back up again? It's soooo great! Good luck again and enlist everyone that you possibly can to help when the big day comes so you can get some sleep. Good thing those babies are so darn cute!

And I swear, it anyone comes in here and posts pictures of their dainty movie star looking wife at 8 months pregnant with a youthful glow and trendy outfit on, I may fly right to where you are and kick you from here to kingdom come! I'm a mama... I know how to do it and not get caught.
Umm how about 7 months? Took this of the wife last month. It's our first. I'm willing it to be a girl. lol

To shoot wedding, hell where you get power, courage and motivation?! With such results you at least have three proofs already that it is worth the effort

We go in Wednesday for the C-section! And as soon as my six weeks of recovery are up, I'm going after Alex. Hope he gets his girl this time, cause it'll be his LAST!

Best of luck with the C-section.. my wife and I are due March 20th... but our second together was an emergency C-section, so I don't know what that really means... we are hoping to go natural, but I think that if the baby hasn't come by the 20th we get a C-section?

I can't add much to what has already been said. Girl you Rock! Wish you the best and prayers for you and your family and a HEALTHY baby!! Thanks for sharing!!

Mel, I hope that everything goes smoothly for you all the way through the C-section and then the recovery. You and your family will be in my prayers this week too.

I hope things go well with your impending delivery. My wife is a midwife. VBACS (vaginal birth after ceaserian) are determined by many factors. One of the biggest is the location of the incision in the uterus done in the prior C-section. The external incision is not necessarily and indication of the uterine incision. Your doctor or midwife will need the medical records of the prior delivery to determine if you're a candidate. I guess you've already had that discussion.
If your wife hasn't gone into labor by the due date, that's not necessarily a determining factor on the c-section decision. Be sure to talk freely about your wishes with your OB or midwife. Also be sure to take childbirth classes and do the exercises religiously. That will increase your chances if your wife has been determined to be a VBAC candidate. My wife taught LaMaze childbirth for 18 years and found motivation, practice and exercise made a huge difference.

Melanie, glad you made it through your wedding season in your advanced condition! I certainly hope everything goes smoothly on the 'big day' and #4 will be another bundle of joy for the two of you to cherish. The only thing that gets me more misty-eyed than a wedding is taking pictures of childbirth (done five so far, wouldn't have missed any of them for the world).
Best,
Andy
