I think I'll agree with your wife - love the leaves in the hat brim.

Distractions, for me, in #1 - tree trunk, light post (aluminum), needs rotating CC a bit, some cropping - strictly my opinions.

Interesting sculpture - might I ask where?

regards,

Bob

Thanks for your ideas on this Bob. The more I look at the two I would have to agree. This is on the river front in Harrisburg, Pa. at Front St and State St. Thanks again,,Gary

I'm with Bob, for the reasons above.
I'd darken the right upper corner to ease on some distraction, and see if you can open up a bit of highlights.

Good luck.

Gary,
If you live in the vicinity, might be fun to have your wife or someone else, stand to the sculpture's left side, looking down at the sculpture's face, pointing at the newspaper, and acting like they're having a heated discussion. Just a thought.

Thanks Scott for the look. I am not very good a Photoshop and I don't quite understand the open up a bit of highlights you refer to. I did do a little different crop and rotating.

That might be an interesting idea but a redo is not possible right now.
Thanks,,Gary

Thanks Kaden, it looks like #2 will be it but I still think I like #1 better. I think it highlights the theme of the WA more by highlighting the chair more that the sculpture. Also shows its location on the riverfront better. Here is an adjusted #1.
Thanks,,Gary

The dynamics make the second image stronger. While the first may "fit" the WA topic slightly better, as a suggestion, enter the image you believe visually the strongest. In my observation, on average, those who vote in WA prefer a strong image over a weaker one that closely conforms to the topic.
