That black OM-4 and 40/2... I know it's sacrilege to many, but for a carry-anywhere shooter I think I'd take that over anything else in this thread. I wish that pancake wasn't so hard to come by.

Doesn't every one have a 180 cron?

Any how, here's a really exotic bit of glass, the polarising drop in filter for the cron. That little drop in filter cost me almost AUD700, new, but I simply couldn't find one second hand. There's a funky little dial on the outside that rotates the filter internally. It's nice, but SEVEN HUNDRED!!!

And the whole happy family.

Rokkor Rehab.

I bought this one which was described as perfect, 100% clean, and it is f*cking full of fungus, internal cleaning marks, dust, and has damaged coatings inside the rear element.
I got about $50 refunded which made it fairly cheap, but nowhere near cheap enough. BUT, it aint that hard a lens to service

I kept it because despite all the problems its sharper than my previous copy

Voigtländer 40/2 Ultron II and Nikkor 24-70/2.8. Wonder why I sold the Nikkor...not.

I wonder if there a similar drop in polariser filter, with external dial, for the Tamron SP 300mm f2.8 LD IF?...The one that comes with it does'nt have an external dial so you have to keep taking it out to turn the polariser.

The Canon ltm 50/1.2 a nice old-fashioned lens, not so sharp at f/1.2, better at f/1.4
At f/5.6 or 8 it is as sharp as any 50mm
The focus throw is very long, I use to first pre-focus, before bringing the camera to my eye. minimum distance is a bit far, = 1 m. I got some nice pictures with it.
Nowadays, I would buy the nokton 50/1.1

Leica R just fitted to my 5DII the Leitax adaptor is propably the best solution yet and a chip from Happypage the Optix V5 gives this lens a new lease on life.
