Best if not viewed as a slide show. I saw and downloaded the higher ISO shots to compare. My rough guess - ISO 6400 looks about like ISO 3200 on my 5D2, 12,800 looks like the 5D2's 6400, and 25600 looks similar to the 5D2's 12800, but without the banding.
Personally the slow deliveries don't truly matter as I don't have any games or events planned until after new year anyway, it's a slow period this and next week. It just would have been fun to play with and explore the new camera, not least the video capability, during my days off over the holidays. I guess I'll have to settle for watching reruns on the TV instead.

Yep, Pierre. Just got a call from them too. They said they got a call from Canon, who have small numbers in stock in the UK, but are now NOT going to ship until after Christmas when they have larger quantities. Considering a lot of the independent camera stores will be closed over Christmas and NY, that means only the big e-tailers might be able to fill orders (Jessops, Jacobs, Amazon) before the New Year.
Me? Well that's the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm buying in Oz.
Probably going to be end of Jan, mid Feb now!
As you're moving out there, that has to be your best bet especially as the price is so good.

This was my plan too but I guess it's just going to be a week or so of Crimbo telly instead. That's actually not so bad as I've just taken delivery of a Samsung 8000 LED and it's a beauty. All I need now is a Sky HD box - anyone??

That could be a problem but I'll just explain that my technique has improved
In reality, as long as I deliver some nice shots of the kids every now and then, she's happy.
MY wife never noticed the difference between the 50D and the 7D so you have a good point. And she's a photographer! I'm gonna feel it though eventually because she loves to shoot with the 85L and will grab my camera eventually.
