p.1 #1 · Tethered shooting

I apologise if this as been covered before, however I expect some of you studio photographers will have advice for me anyway. A close friend is opening up a small rural home studio and came to me with the question: "I plan on purchasing a Nikon D300. I also want to connect it to my Mac Pro so can see the pictures as I take them." I have no experiance with that other than watching the Santa Claus photographers at the local mall, so I thought I'd pass that question along for advice from FMers with expriance. Thanks in advance for your help.

On my Mac, I shoot straight into Aperture via the tether option. Works great for me.

Pretty straight forward. Plug camera in via USB, Select Tether from the FIle Menu, choose a name for the images and start session. Images show up as you shoot in the project that you choose.

That's one way... I'm sure others will have alternatives to check out.

Do a search. You'll find a recent thread that covered this subject quite nicely!
