You are not too far away, Steve - just about a 10 hour drive I had this lens when I had my D300 and now I have a D700 and I want it back.
Funny thing is, Will put it up for sale a couple times, but withdrew before I could post - can't blame him, that little lens is good and he probably wasn't too sure. So, this time I just happened to snipe a reply before will could withdraw the offer

I had one, too, when I owned the D2x. Bought it new from B&H. Great lens. I'll find another one someday. 10 hours? Not too bad. I'll meet you halfway :-)
