I remember a while back when I posted about having issues using my pocket wizards with my 580ex II that some people suggested a good cheap Nikon flash that would fire remotely with PW's. Does anyone know the model(s)?
sb28's, vivitars...i don't know if the sb24's will work, it's missing a part that the 28's has..i could be mistaken though, but the 28s can be had for 100< and more if people knew how much they are in demand
SB-24
SB-26 (Built in optical slave)
SB-28
SB-28DX
SB-80DX (Built in optical slave)
I'm probably forgetting more, but they all work because they have a PC Sync cord jack built in. I've owned the SB-28 and SB-28DX, they were both great till I found some SB-80DX flashes and switched up. The great thing about the SB-80DX aside from the optical slave is that they closely resemble the SB-800.
If you are looking for a good flash that you use your pw's for nothing more than a trigger like I do....all your work is done in the manual mode...look at this flash head.. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=workaround.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=553296&is=REG I have the more expensive Sigma EF-530 DG Super ETTL flash head and always seem to grab the my Sunpak flash first...in fact Im thinking of selling my Sigma and buying a fourth Sunpak.
