p.1 #1 · J & B - 10 photos for CC

With only shooting 10 to 15 weddings a year, I don't have a lot of work to post, but I always wonder what's up with people who post here but never share images and I didn't want to be "that" guy.

So, I wanted to share a few from a recent wedding. CC is welcomed.

1. I have a few other ring shots, but this was my fav. I found the dusty piano tucked away in an unused room and thought the rings popped on the ivories.

3. I've got a thing for mirror shots. Sorry.

4. B&G exchanged letters before the ceremony.

5. "Aunt Bob" in the back left was shooting all day long.

9. The bride's father passed away so she danced with her paternal grandfather.

10. Nothing special, I just like the huge laughter.

There is something very "clean" about these. I like it.

1 is tilted downhill.
2 - great tone, wish the one woman wasn't scratching her nose.
3 - decent, cheap mirror though. Would PS out the clips on the mirror.
4 - no real crit, good or bad here. #3 seems a bit out of sync with the emotions of the first 2, but that just may be how it went.
5 - if that's as bad as the Bobbing got, then you were indeed lucky. P&S Bobs FTW.
6 - nice, don't like the green cast on his white jacket. Would probably remove that in PS myself.
7 - a pretty shot. Would remove the skin pp however.
8 - the left shot is my fav of the set. The right takes away from it, IMO - not that it isn't also strong, but I just don't care for the combination.
9 - 2nd fav
10 - a good moment, needs a tighter crop next time.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the helpful feedback, everyone!

Jeremy - great crit - I appreciate it! Yeah, the Bobbing wasn't bad at all. She was the only real shutterbug and she stayed at the edges. I was happy. I was torn on #3. Don't like the nose scratching either, but I really like the wide eyed flower girl looking at the bride.

9 is one of the most beautiful (emotion-wise) photos I've seen in ... I dunno... ever?

Maybe I'm reading way more into it due to your caption on it, but it just oozes emotion in a fantastic way. The bride looks to be sad, maybe thinking of her father who she would have loved to be dancing that song with. The Grandfather on the other hand has a reassuring look of contained joy... seemingly expressing both the pride her father would have had, and the fact that all in all he's made peace with the loss of his son partly because he can see some of him in her.

I wish I could have seen the image without the caption... I wonder if it would have had the same impact. ... I also wonder if I'm completely off base here.
