p.1 #1 · R2400 print preview/output probs

I am lost, something has changed in my system and I can't find the fix, short version is this. CS4 and LR2.4 look just fine, but in print preview and output it goes to hell, in print preview the image has lost all is color vibrancy, actual printer output is worse. I've got a Win XP platform, dual monitor, quad core, Nvidia card, calibrated with a color spyder, profiles loaded and updated. The print in question is a piece of gold jewelry against a neutral gray back ground, the piece has a rich reddish yellow citrine in it. I honestly don't know what to do next, I un-installed the printer software and re-installed it, no change, I have changed various settings in CS, color manage, no color manage, ProRGB, Adobe RGB.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Go here, Ian is known as one of the best in explaining the color managment process. This link is specfic to CS4 color managment and should get you fixed up.
