Here are a 3 of my images from my first trip to the Palouse last weekend. These are all taken from Steptoe Butte. Incredible landscape opportunities, I'll be back. Comments and criticisms appreciated.

Nice series here, nice lighting and comps. When I was up steptoe last Monday still looks like we have a ways to go before we get that nice golden color fields.

Well done Gary. You took the good path in eliminating the sky from your images from there. We were there Tue-Thur, and saw not a single cloud.

Really lovely lighting in these, Gary. I love the little clump of trees in the 2nd, and the red barn and farm house in the 3rd. Excellent comps.

Second one rules in this very nice series if only because of it's 'elegant simplicity' of composition.

Seems half the forum has been to the Palouse the last couple weeks.

As popular as I expected it to be this time of year, I only saw 2 other serious photographers (with tripods) in 3 days. One with an 8x10. It would be nice to see those someday.
