Hey- I'm going to list my kit- I shoot a little bit of everything. Let me know if you have any thoughts

and I'm adding the 135f2L sometime next week.

My thoughts:
I like this kit- it has pretty good coverage. I kindof wish I had a newer body(like a 5dmkII) for lowlight work- I can shoot to print at about 1600 but no more than that. I'd also like live view too.

Nice kit. I think you are fine unless you are into collecting more gear or need anything longer than 200.

You may wish to consider a Canon XSi body. It has Live View -- a very useful function for fine-tuning manual focus especially when doing macro work. Its ISO goes to 1600, and produces usable images at ISO800. Of course, the Canon T1i performs much better in low light.

As to lenses, you may wish to consider the 85mm f/1.4. You'll likely put it to use more often than the 135mm f/2.0. L. It costs way less, too.

anotherview- did you mean the 85 1.8?

I've also considered getting a tiny body that I can carry around. An XSI would do the job... I'm also thinking to save up and get a 40d, which would be useful.

Why would you need another camera...you already have two. Do you make full use of the two you already have?

I own the 50D, and keep my 70-200 mounted on it. For smaller lenses, I use an XSi or a T1i.

I believe that photographers should man up, and just carry the gear, heavy or not. The image counts.

brucem48: It does very well- I wish it had IS for indoors stuff with it. It did a great job for me for 2 fashion weeks- although I did have to have it repaired by the end of the first fashion week. The lens is pretty much the same glass as as the canon with a lighter and less durable build.
