So what did you use? Fish, Alcohol, Drugs
Great shot

Tim

Thanks, Tim. I used Patience and knew this was one of their fifty favourite perches.

Sweet! Superb capture. This is indeed my nemesis bird. Please let us know how you were able to get so close. This does appear to be a juvenile. Really really nice. Congrats!

Thanks, John. Car blind. Good eye, yes it is a juvenile. There is a female and male.

Alright Tony, spill the beans. Is it real? I know it is but can't believe how close you got. Great detail in both the highlights and the darker areas. Well done.

Henrik

Thanks, Henrik. Just like shooting Osprey.

Beautiful portrait Tony but I though you got rid of the 400 5.6 or am I wrong? There is no info in the photo and I was wondering what camera you are now using and if it AF with the TE on it at 5.6. The very best blinds are on rubber tires

Thanks, Lou. Hey, equipment comes and goes, and sometimes comes again.

Currently have a 40D & 5D, along with 100-400 and 400 f5.6. The 400 with TC, AF focuses so-so.

Thanks, Larry. Re the open posting, over the years here, I have learned to separate the chaff from the wheat. I just ignore the chaff or stuff it in the garbage, and only keep the wheat.

Glad to help, and I keep learning from all the images I see that are better than mine.
