p.1 #1 · Jr. American Legion

I made it to a game last night, and have completely transitioned into my new endeavor of B&W. I'm not sure if it's just the change of scenery or not, but I really enjoy B&W more than color...I guess only time will tell.

One aspect I emphatically concluded is; I have as much business messing around in the ISO 6400 range, as I do a dark graveyard. There's no doubt, this area is at the far end of my bell curve when it comes to the law of diminishing returns.

I'm curious if anyone consistently hangs out in the dark expecting consistent keepers, or any at all? One thing I've noticed when conversing with the officials, is that they always state I'm the only person they ever see past the 3rd inning. I doubt this caliber of play makes it into any papers with strict submission deadlines, which makes me wonder if there's a point where rational people realize there's no benefit to remain?

Here are the ones that caught my eye.

For some reason these black n whites look very washed out, they need more contrast... I am a sucker for contrasty b/w's

You lose all the detail in the shirt in your contrasty edit.
I like the original far better.
The detail in the first in the series is particularly great IMHO.

Dann, your links don't work. When I click them, it asks me to log in. Pictures aren't available.

I like the "reportage" style the B&W gives the pics, works better on some than others!. Sorry Dann I've godda agree with 70744 with the edit! way too much contrast for me!. Kind regards Graham.

I got a couple more B&W Books to read this week, and I'll continue my quest to concern parents by being the strange old guy who seems to follow local kids around the local parks.

I agree with dann about uber contrast, but I hate losing the detail. From the get-go, I figured this would be my inner battle. I'll report back next week with my next series of attempts.
