I'm very impressed on the light however. Would you care to give a young newb some tips on how you achieved it?

One more thing: Where did you shoot the photos with the water. I recently did a shoot in a shower, and would have killed to get this sort of effect with the dark dramatic background, but it seems impossible to prevent spill to that extent.

Did you just pour water on her in the middle of your studio?

It seems the trade off is either light spilling, or water spilling.

This is something I was thinking about for while. I brought a shower (kind of) in my studio. I still need to work on this in order to improve and will probably try some other solution with other models. That day the main problem was the water temperature

Do you mind posting a few setup shots if you have them?
I'm struggling to learn lighting techniques a bit so any help is welcome.

I'm especially interested in 1-3.

From what I can make out:
1. Softbox, camera left but sort of behind the model. And a light accenting her back.
2. 2 softboxes in a Y formation to the camera.
3. Softbox, almost perpendicular to her shoulders, but a bit farther out from the camera.

Is this close?

Yeah that's pretty close

I don't have any setup shots ...

1. Correct and yes a second strobe camera right at low power ... I had to be quick for that shot and couldn't really work much on the light... The water was too cold

2. Correct !! Y ... 45° each side of the camera
3. Correct .. close to that ! Simple low key setup ... I just love it
