why perptuate the stereotype that Irish folks are drunks? How about the next Mexican wedding I do I call it lazy, or Italian mobsters, or Jews rich and stingy? Normally I'm not the politically correct police, but gotta be careful around clients (I noticed you posted the same on FB/blog).

strong images and PP.. the reception shots are so-so but the prep and couples shots are really great

Really nice stuff Pat. I found 5 & 9 very strong. 9 is a great execution of this concept with a lovely composition.

Just watched the Red Bank fireworks... man its come a long way since I last watched them a decade or so ago.

As far as shooting "what sells", my clients love my style. I shoot for an album (prints don't sell like they used too...in fact, they barely sell at all). My mindset when approaching a wedding is to capture for an album, tell a story, and set the scene. Then I come up with mind-blowing portraits that can not only wrap up a good album design but can also stand alone as a huge canvas on my clients walls. To each his own, but albums + canvas is where it's at.

Edit: I got to experience the Red Bank fireworks tonight atop my girlfriends bosses sailboat. The fireworks literally went off ~500 feet away from us. Phenomenal.

You know, it may be because you have a better grasp of your clients wants and needs. I am just not sure that this kind of photography is right for all brides. I like some of this stuff, but I am a photographer.

You know, it may be because you have a better grasp of your clients wants and needs. I am just not sure that this kind of photography is right for all brides. I like some of this stuff, but I am a photographer.

The photography style is a reflection of Pat himself. If he wasn't true to his own inner style I doubt he'd take such good photos or even want to be a photographer. Your style should be dictated by who you are as a person and not what the market is looking for, success will follow.

First off, Pat is a really cool dude. His style is fresh, edgy, and pimpish. I'm definitely digging his stuff and he is most definitely a rising star.
