p.1 #1 · danielle + fran | wedding | irish drunkz

danielle and fran got married this past saturday at the atlantic city country club.

we chased each other around on golf carts for a good 25 minutes. it was sweet.

the bride and all but one of her bridesmaids are from ireland. apparently the term "toilet" in ireland doesn't literally mean the toilet... we had an interesting conversation about that.

danielle's father had never been to america previously. pretty rad.

as always, the full set can be found on the blog .

picture time.

Great set! It was refreshing to see the gown hung somewhere outside! (mental note to self)

My response to the gown on a tree was "maybe he's trying too hard to be different".

Beautiful bride... you sure can tell she's an Irish lass. Maybe a bit too much in 14, but the rest are great.

Bagpipes! Dude, your detail shots are so on-point.....every single time.

11-12-16 = Fire!

BTW, I think I like 8A better than 8B. Then again.....hmmmmmm.

You rocked it...

Great set! Personal preference but I would have preferred a warmer tint as opposed to the slight blue/cyans. 9, 10 and 12 stand out.

I have been hesitant to bring this up, but do brides really buy this stuff? A photo of two lawn chairs? Photo with so much flare you cannot id the subject? How about the alligators foot? What about the odd colors and unusual crops? Are these just photos that you take for other photographers on the forum? I was with a MOB when she got some proofs like these and she said she was very dissapointed. She said why would she want a photo of the brides shoes? What about the photo's where the B&G's faces are blurred or cropped out? Why does the color look like it was shot on film left in a hot car? I suppose you take photos that are well composed, good color and show the B&G faces in focus. I just rarely see them posted. I am not saying your work is bad, I am just wondering if these are the photo's that sell.

Cool set. I'd like to have seen the rings a little closer and a little less flare in 14.

<lurker here>
As a former bride who bought pictures of her shoes I can say that yes, they do indeed purchase them I absolutely LOVED my shoes and was thrilled he got a pic of them.

I was actually a little disappointed that my photog didn't get more "details" photos since I didn't recall much of the day afterward due to stress, emotions, etc. And most of my favorite wedding photos were the ones where you actually couldn't see our faces because they were more artistic and moody and captured the essence of the day for us.

But everyone is different which is why we chose the photog we did and others wouldn't.

I know it sounded like I was being critical, but I wasn't. I don't shoot weddings anymore but when I did we would shoot one type of photo to enter competitions with other photographers and another set to sell to the bride. Rarely did the bride buy the photo's that we entered in competiton but photo judges loved them.

some people appreciate art in certain forms. others dont. believe it or not, its possible for the average joe to have the same taste as a photo judge.

Dan-

I didn't mean my response as a retort. I just wanted to point out that yes, indeed brides do sometimes buy those photos. Or maybe I was always just too artistic for my own good

dude i really like these. my only nit is that the first and the last three in the set seem a little disjointed when looking at the rest of the pictures. Your colors are so really great i think the black and white looks a mundane when compared.
