So I finished processing the pictures from this weekends tournament. I've been having problems with my Sigma 120-300 so I rented one to see if its the lens, the camera, or me. My lens was giving me problems focusing and the pictures that I thought were in focus, after posting for critique, I discovered those were not that sharp. So, here are a few. I think I'm going to start a 300 2.8 fund to replace my Sigma. I accept donations!

Thanks Paul & Ted.
I usually shoot from one of three areas. Behind 1st (most), behind the fence to get the pitcher, and from behind 3rd. Where else would you suggest to shoot from?

I have not sent my Sigma in yet. That was going to be my next step. But, those shots were taken with a rental lens. My lens would have produced pictures 10 times worse so I am not very hopeful. But, I have to try before I throw in the Sigma towel. If anyone can share their experiences with sending a lens to Sigma, I'd appreciate any advice. I'm still relatively new at this and have never had to send anything back before.

I like shooting from behind the centerfield fence for batters (or catchers) a lot of the time for a change. Never done it with my Sigma however. I use the 400mm 2.8, but give it a shot or even put a 1.4x converter on it? Worth a try IMO.

Thanks H.
Actually I do have a 1.4 for the Siggy. As we speak I'm packing her up for the trip to Sigma Corp America in NY. Hopefully when she gets back all of her moodiness will be gone and I'll give that perspective a try. BYT, your shots are awesome.
