on a rainy day. I cut this just before a huge hail storm trashed the garden.
(I decided that 'other' image was too far outside the box!)

I like the DoF and subtle colours but it feels as if it is going to fall. Are we in Esher land?

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Thanks for your reply. I decided that I didn't like that other Esheresque crazy picture, so I uploaded a new one.

Will the little picture change now, or am I stuck with it? I fear I have fallen out of the loop!

Yes it will.

(Lord, I have taken so many pictures of flowers (which I love) and find so difficult to capture, I think I have gone mad. Now I am answering my own questions!)

This one is much better. The contradictions of the straight and curved lines look very nice to my eyes. Just the edge of the pot (?) seems out of place and contributes nothing IMHO.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Nice shot. I like the rain drops on the window! - Perhaps a bit more of the flower reflection in the shot??
good luck,
Carrol

Thanks Carrol. I am resisting the temptation to change the picture yet again! Appreciate your comment.

Hi Caley,

I really like this shot. The simplicity and clarity shine though. Great idea and wonderful execution. Terrific entry.

That's really beautiful! The unusual cropping works very well and the colors are great!

All best wishes,

Endre

Thanks Endre.

Your rose shot in both color and the black and white was so stunning, that it inspired me to try my hand at capturing the flowers beauty, (with that funky window sill twist). The hard part is getting the subtle soft texture of the petals.

Love the use of the window pane/glass as a reflective backdrop for this beautiful flower. It gives it a real world setting.
