If nothing else I want the lens. But that looks WAY better than the photokina mockup.

Needs a bolt-on grip a la D-Lux 4, but otherwise this is looking fairly interesting.

As long as they make one that's black. Can you adapt the original pen f lenses to 4/3's?

Yes, to µFT, though they're still fairly pricey:

DO WANT!

Oh my goodness, I'm getting so excited for this little camera! If it's reasonably priced I'm going to sell my d-lux 4 for sure and get this!

I must say I am excited as well. Please price it reasonably, dear Oly and I will get one for all my OM lenses and --- ooof --- I might start buying M lenses...

BTW - I can´t tell - that Pen-->M4/3 adapter - does it include glass to achieve inf focus? Anybody know?

I was reading the rumor thread for this camera on rangefinderforum and the estimated cost is going to be around $900, or so I read.

I would love something like this with the prime, but at that cost I'm not so sure..

Pen F's register is around 29mm while µFT gets by with just about 20mm, so no glass is required.

Yeah if they keep the cost down with that prime (17mm f/2.8 would be about a 35mm) I would do it. like if that kit was $700 or less. Think about it, you can get the e-450 w/ 25mm pancake lens for under $600 brand new. This even smaller camera shouldn't cost more.

Or is my logic off?

Black is supposed to also be an option.

The leaked cost better be wrong. It's $190 over the G1 which has a EVF and a flip-out LCD. That's a serious premium for size and less capability.

The kit with the 14-42 should be cheaper than the G1/14-45.

hi,
i realy love this, but as i wrote somewhere here before,
my olympus RD, or minolta 7II ... has 1:1,7 on full frame film.
so for me this is no option.
this would be somthing like "1:3,5" on full frame.

or?

regards
reinhard

It's got the speed of an equivalent f1.7 lens on full frame but the DoF of an equivalent f3.5 lens on full frame. Do you need speed or shallow DoF?
