for instance the cheese picture was shot on a sunny day with Auto-WB.
That would be why the pics are fine - Auto-WB compensates the yellow tint, much like if you shot under yellow-ish light and WB it.
Appearantly the yellow dicoloration can be caused by a rare earth element used in old glass, but can be cured by exposing to UV light from the sun or a special lamp (read this on the forum here...).
