Very pretty shot, Tom. The colors are lovely!

I can't quite find the point f best focus, though, so it all looks a teeny bit soft to me. Maybe that's what you wanted since it doesn't detract from the overall impact (for me) too much.

Thanks, Endre. Actually, the point of focus is the eyeballs, the nose (mouth?) and the blossom it's feeding on. I'll have to admit, I don't do much macro and I was surprised that I got this shallow of a depth of field at f/16. The effect worked out nicely, IMHO, as it was really the colors I was after in the first place. A little abstractness works well there.

Interesting shot. I find the blue/purple a little dark and the background a little too light. Nonetheless, a great capture with an interesting colour combination.
