Great captures, Lil. They are very well exposed with sharp detail, good lighting and pleasing colors and bg. #1 and 4 are my favorites.

Lil, my sweet are you doing any sharpening in the camera?
Are you using ACR without turning the sharpening off?
Tim my friend,
The D300 has a scale of 1-9 in camera sharpening. Mine is set at 4. In post I may set it at 5 or 6. NX2 allows me to totally change any in camera settings in post.
Don't use ACR. (Don't even know what it stands for - - hiding my inexperience)
Good man and you betcha, there are a bunch of us waiting to meet you.
Sounds wonderful. Since Ross just started "Criminal Minds" it won't be for a few months.
Lou is the biggest assest this forum has, the man is a national treasure.
That Lou is - a real treasure & a generous & loving heart. A big teddy bear as far as I'm concerned & someone with more knowledge that most of us can hope to ever acquire.

Alan
Thank you Alan,
I know I've not responded to your e-mail, but I'm aware of it. Just a tad busy right now.
Glad you like the series & yes - you should look into the 300mm AF-S f/4. It's got a bad foot, but add the Kirk collar & it's super sharp. not wide open, but just slightly stopped down.
I'm a lot better thank you & I will get to your e-mail today.

Garen
Well Garen, due to the fire my riding has been impaired a lot. I have to ride far on the street & going away it's OK, but heading home my Warmblood gets difficult & that's a pain in heavy traffic where people are driving about 50 mph on streets. Also, I have to cross major intersections - add an off & on ramp of the freeway - - not easy with two horses.
So things are not the greatest with the horses who want to go out on the trail & run. I have to try again soon - but it's not fun at all.
