'monkey's lost it. In an effort to amuse myself (3 days of paint fumes notwithstanding)
I set out to see what I could do with the 200-400 f4 VR and 1.4x TC using the D2X in crop mode.
(HSC in Nikon speak) and somewhere between 980 and 1100mm Sandy and I had a go of it.

Straight OOC so forgive poor comps and BG noise...but 'monkey's got a new drug! Thx as always!!
Handheld w/honorable modded BushHawk. Wide open, this time around.

Nothing too wrong with this set for what you were doing to get these Monkey. That glassy eye sure looks sharp in each one of them

I am questioning your -.7 exp comp as I would figure with that light BG you would have had to go the other way

I was just seein' what I could get away with today, I'd probably never use the HSC for a money shot
but I learn every time I go out. Old dogs, yada yada.
