This was taken on New Year's Day in El Capitan Meadow. In the late afternoon, the orange glow from El Cap gives this area a really warm light; despite being in complete shade. I liked how these two trees were almost mirror images of one another.
Nicely seen and captured here. I like how the trees are like playing with each other bashfully...

Thanks Ute. They really did glow a bit. There was so much reflected light coming off of El Cap that the mist in the area really lit up.
I like both of these a lot, Doug. The sideways blown snow adds a very interesting dimension to the scenes. And the soft rising mists lend a softening touch that is really lovely.
