p.1 #1 · Special Disneyland experience

I have been visiting Disneyland in ... Hong Kong

a very special experience, with a lot of Chinese performers and shows in Cantonese (with english subtitles displayed on the side), with the songs in English of course...
The Christmas parade with fake snow in the middle of Chinese people is a special experience as well...
Photography was allowed (for non commercial purposes of course), but without flash... so I put the 24-70 and 70-200VR on the D3, tuned up the ISO and here we are... a few examples:

#1 the metro on our way to Disneyland

#2

#3 I liked the silhouette

#4 beauty and the beast

# 5 The Lion King - my shutter speed was a bit too low (1/50sec @200mm)

#6 loved the mood

#7

#8

#9

#10

I've got many more - just wanted to give an impression

Thanks for watching

Guy

great images, all handheld?

I'm told that most of the performers are from philippine, esp those who sings or play musics. They can sing and play music very well yet inexpensive.

Guy - quality work as usual! But.. is that some banding in shot nr 6 or just a curtain?

Yes... we Filipinos are indeed very inexpensive.... We dominate the world of nursing and airport security and can sing and dance like monkeys for a tiny fee! Hahahaha!

Oh and its spelled "Philippines".

excellent work Guy and i think the shutter in 5 is perfect, a senso of motion is very compelling in still images

Sorry for the wrong spelling

don't get me wrong, i say inexpensive mainly because of the unreasonable price local people ask for.

I like music and I play muscial instruments myself, I really hate the way local people see music.. they see $$ and charge rediculous fee on performance, tutition, and a better-than-average piano tutor can charge as much, or higher than a lecturer in Royal School of Music in UK (who travel around to play in concerts and sometimes work as judge in classical music contest)

actually the situation here in my city is strange. many people send their children to learn music mainly for the hope that they can go to better school.... so those music teachers can charge a rediculous price...

@ ytwong:
I did not know that about the local people. Thanks for sharing. By the way I like the silouette the best myself! Cheers!
