Well, one catch. It's $80 but you get an $80 MIR. Must have US address. Rebate says that you can order up to 3 of them. I've got my order in.

Note: Out of date link deleted.

Thanks! Got mine, too. Make sure you follow the posted link. If you go to Adorama and search for the card, the price comes up as $10 more.

i'm leery of rebates these days...especially since couple of major rebate processing companies have gone under in the past couple of months...one of them was for canon

Yea.. I can't honestly understand how they expect to make money off this?? They must just be hoping that people fail to send in the forms correctly?

Thanks for sharing the link.. haven't yet decided if I want in on the 'gamble'.

Yeah, I've got my fingers crossed as well.

I would be interested in seeing some stats on the percentage of rebates that are actually received on all purchases of an item.

Before you jump, do check out the non-rebate prices for a similar card. Paying $80 for the card is way above the normal pricing these day, and it is not at all uncommon to have to jump through hoops to get your rebate a few months later.

I have pretty much sworn off buying anything via these sorts of "rebate" offers after having problems several times. (And yes, I did follow the rebate instructions to the letter. But I had to resend the copies of the materials and in one case I had to get the manufacturer to intervene.)

I agree about being leery of "to good to be true" offers... but I recently opted to buy CF cards instead of a portable drive for when a lap top is isn't feasible. Spent a little over $500 bucks (for 72gb) after rebates from Sandisk. So this deal looks to good to pass up Can't have enough of these...Wish they were the 16gb size...

Thanks Don for the tip!

Have you tried the colorspace hard drive? It works like a charm for me. Get one without the hard drive and install your own and it's a great deal. Of course, you do occasionally need some power to recharge, but the battery's pretty good.

250gb on one charge, not bad! This would be sweet with double protection in the field, especially for an extended trip.

Thanks for the tip Floris!

Yup. The rebate company for Sandisk went under. I'm still waiting for my rebates from early this year & I'm pied.

It might be the same one for Canon.

I just got a pre-paid Visa for a Sandisk Rebate today in the mail. So some Sandisk stuff still works fine.

Well, they seem to have now pulled the offer as the link no longer works.

The way that it was written up left no doubt that they knew what they were doing but probably didn't anticipate the response.

I just received a shipping notice from them. I checked the invoice and it includes the 3 CF cards so it was legit.

I ordered three yesterday from the original link and just received ship notice.

While I am optimistic about the rebate, Adorama & Lexar have both entered into this offer at a time when some rebate centers have gone south. If they knowingly made a bad bargain, there would be legal complications and I would expect either Lexar or Adorama to make good on the offer. You can be sure a lot of folks will be rattling sabers if they get hosed.

I got the email on this offer as well, and after getting taken for over $250.00 on my last rebate, I kind of smiled and clicked the delete button.

I hope it is as good as it sounds, I will then wish I had ordered a few!

Let us know how it goes.
