It's a really graceful composition. The soft light, mild sky, and warm tones of the heather constitute Essence Of Scotland! Which would also include the slight "wispiness" of the light on the mountain. And the serious grip of winter is seen in the thick frost in the shadow of the rock. Lovely!

Warm color, snow covered hills, clear and crisp. The scene bring a sense of peace.
