p.1 #1 · Trip to Italy (c/c please)

I bought a 40d for my trip to italy with but took it back when I returned, didn't think I was that interested in photography. Couple months later I flipped through the pictures to realize that I had a great time. I seem to appreciate vacations more when I reflect on them rather then when Im there. So, I decided to buy another camera, sigma sd14 with a 30mm 1.4 ex. Ill probably have it in a couple weeks so I thought id post some pictures from my trip to get some c&c so Ill be able to improve. Be kind, this is only the second time Ive taken any real pictures, first shots here: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/675957/0?keyword=x#6043722

I appreciate any feedback. One thing I noticed compared to many users here are that my photos seem to be over processed :o

bump? apparently my photos are so good they don't need critiques or they are so awful I should be embarrassed for posting them... heh, anyone interested in lending me a hand and giving me some hints on what I should do for my next series.

Give people a chance I think its a good set. I personally wouldn't have included 2,3 & 5 as they have a snapshot feeling to them. The rest of the set is very good to look through.

Rowan

I agree with Rowan. But it's a really nice set I enjoyed looking at it.

I am not a regular on this Forum, but I am on the Critique Forum. Based on my experience there, and the "local culture", I'd suggest you post 2-4 images at a time with some common element if you want more specific comments. Feel free to come over to Critique if you want some detailed input.
As presented, you have a mixture of subjects, concepts, informal and more composed images, many of which appear to have mostly personal meaning.

From the title I was hoping to see way more Italy scene images as in #8. IMHO one would be hard pressed to tell they were not from a place other than Italy.
Nice personal images though.

Most of the pictures seem to have something really wrong with the colors (2, 3, 4, 9, 11, 13, 15).
From the artistic point of view I like the last one.

I think they are great. Love the feel to them. If they fulfill your memories and capture the moments that made some of the highlights of your trip to Italy than that's what matters most. We don't need the usual architecture and countryside photo that these places have become known for and instantly are recognizable for, i appreciate your photos more. Ok, photo 18 not so much...very odd.

If you are looking how to better capture those moments...then do what the other posters stated above for C&C
