This was actually shot with my 16-35 and this is a heavy crop from the original. I really wasnt too high up maybe about 8-10" but I think the perspective is throwing it off. But I will ge eye level next time. Thanks for the feedback!
The shot is outstanding as is. If it were shot at the dog's eye level it would be a completely different shot, more of a standard portrait. This doesn't come off as a snapshot angle partly because of the perspective and the in-your-face attitude. It's great.
Jason, my brown cat I think knows what a camera is now! Everytime I get it out he starts prancing. It's really unnerving because I usually want to get a capture of how he is laying.
