p.1 #1 · Apple 23" Cinema Display - What video card?
Hi,
I'm finally ditching my CRT's in favor of a 23" ACD (aluminum frame model). For those running one of these on their PC what video card is giving you good results? I understand some have problems displaying the POST screens. What's working without problems?

My 23" Cinema Display is an older model along with my G5 PowerMac running a GeForce FX5200. This is pretty dated equipment compared with what's available now. The display works great and is very stable (I calibrate it once a month). It has changed very little since new according to the RGB graph plotted by my Eye-One Match software. My only complaint is it's difficult to precisely set the brightness level with the display's touch buttons. I'd prefer some other type of control. I can set it close enough but it sometimes takes several tries to get it where I want it. Otherwise, it is a fine monitor and the new ones are cheaper than what I paid for this one. I'd certainly buy another one.

So you're using the older clear 23". Those are really cheap right now. I actually thought about getting 2 of those but I couldn't find any information on people that had them working with the PC. I figure the 23" aluminum frame is still a good bet even though it's not the newest LED technology. I guess I'll just have to take my chances with video cards. Video cards are pretty cheap anyway. I'm not looking for anything too advanced here.

I'm running a 23" ACD on a PC. I'm using an NVidia card to drive it. I happen to have a 9600GT at the moment. Any of the video cards with a DVI output should be just fine.
