Something in this shot is looks very smooth, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is that gives that appearance. Lots of neat lines here, Jim.
My personal preference is not for this angle, however. For me, the window in the upper left competes with the neat piece over the arch at this angle.
I like the toning, but would like to see more light over the center piece over the arch as well.
Just my opinion. I can also state that this angle highlights the angles in a nice way. I guess it comes down to purpose in this one.

Squint at the image and let it go soft, now tell me why it looks so "smooth" :-)
I might burn the window for the print, but I like the lines in it as well?!?!
Only purpose was to make you go "wow, that's kind'a neat." Though this one might go to the photo club to be judged, depends on what else I like between now and then.

I really like and appreciate the composition. a site like this is difficult to get a unique and artistic composition, without getting really nutty, but you have done a good job. the tonal treatment is excellent, also.

Next time I will go back with the fisheye. :-) And then I will get nutty! 50mm wasn't nearly wide enough.
