I believe this is an Anna's Hummingbird, please correct me if I'm wrong.
This little HB decided to pose for me even with the overcast afternoon looming overhead.

I don't ever see hummers here.....#3 is awesome. The DOF falloff works to good effect showing off the main part of the bird

Tim, that first one would make the coolest tight crop imagineable, man that looks sharp what impact on that color. Did #2 have flash on it? #3 is wonderfully done on profile and DOF, what focal length on these Tim?

I was a little worried with it being overcast, a little filtered light would peak through and I guess it was enough. Thanks

No flash on any of these. I was using my 500mm on a Canon 40D
here is a tighter crop

These are superb shots.

You've got to love him when he turns his head toward
you and that's when you see his beautiful gorget color. #1 gets my vote.
