p.1 #1 · New Stock Gallery on my Website - Please Check it Out!
Hello everyone,
I just uploaded a new stock gallery to my nature and wildlife photography website at www.karipost.com
It contains 399 nature and wildlife images. I would really love some feedback on the site if possible. Please take some time and check out my new website and stock gallery when you get the chance. The stock gallery portion can be seen here: http://www.karipost.com/stockgallery.htm

Kari,
I think you'll get more responses if you post shots here. Most times people skip leaving FM to look at shots. And now it's in the middle of the holiday season - - people have no time.
Post some of your favorites in this thread & I'm sure people will respond.

Hello Kari
I remeber commenting a long time ago on one of your posts I am glad to see your love for nature and the wonderful images you have been capturing. I enjoyed the look around at your stock gallery. The loon images are stunning and the mood you captured on the Adirondack Lake is beautiful. Many nice images and from what I read about you they will continue to grow.
As Lil suggested, do share more here with us when you can, that is a wonderfully happy smile you carry

Very nice gallery, Kari. The sight loads fast and is easy to navigate. I would prefer so see slightly larger images but can understand that if your trying to sell them you might want to keep them on the small size to discourage people from stealing your work. Excellent wildlife photos and enjoyed what I saw.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
As far as posting images here, I simply do not have the time to post on every photography forum that exists on the web. I am much more active in a couple other photography communities that are of just nature and wildlife photographers, as I don't shoot other subjects any more. Admittedly I ignore FM for the most part, except for the Buy & Sell forum when I'm in the market for new gear. Understandably, I didn't expect a lot of feedback on this post, but do appreciate any that I get. The response so far is actually a bit more than I expected, so thank you very much for all those who have responded for reaching out to a stranger like me and offering some insight.
As per the larger images, regardless of the possibility of copyright infringement, they take longer to load, use up more web space and bandwidth, and don't fit as nicely into an easy to navigate layout. The size I chose works well with my blog, and prevents me from having to create many multiple web files of an image.
I can understand the argument with posting an image larger, but when someone sees something they like, I don't think they are going to pass it up just because they think its 200 pixels too short. I really dislike the look of a giant watermark across a photo, and only do it when I'm sending files to a client as a proof; I would never display images on my website that way. My photographs are very sharp and have a ton of detail, and short of posting a full res file on the web (or 100% crop) even a 1000x1500 pixel image downsized from any digital SLR isn't going to show an images weaknesses if sharpened in Photoshop. I have thought about posting some 100% crops on my purchase page, developing some sort of image quality page that is linked to from there, so I will investigate that further.
Thank you for all of the feedback so far. Of course I will not see eye to eye with everyone, but all of your opinions are valuable and can help me think about how to better design my site, even if I perhaps disagree. I think that such feedback can be valuable to others reading who may be developing websites.
